A.F.E.C.T. Change

What is A.F.E.C.T. Change? It’s Atlanta based banks, credit unions, financial advisors, educators and authors partnering to provide guidance, instruction, tools and support so that everyone can master their money NOW and gain access to banking relationships, loan opportunities, retirement planning and all of the tools one needs to have a successful financial future.

A.F.E.C.T. Change is a first time partnership between local government agencies and the best minority owned and operated financial institutions, private sector companies and non-profit organizations in Metro Atlanta. We have come together to teach our communities the financial knowledge and skills we need while providing the ongoing support needed to improve creditworthiness and overall financial acumen. We believe that our communities deserve to have access to the same resources and opportunities that many others do in order to make better financial decisions, give families more options and to leave a better legacy.

Our goal: To teach our communities the truths about money management for every situation, how to make money work for them and most importantly how to make themselves creditworthy so that they have options.

Launching on September 1st, 2008, the A.F.E.C.T Change website (www.afectchange.com) will be unveiled as the central hub of consumer and small business financial information for the communities of Metropolitan Atlanta. Visitors will have free and safe access to resources and events designed specifically to help them achieve their financial goals.

Those looking to improve their finances will find agencies such the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and the Social Security Administration (SSA) as committed partners in their effort to improve their financial life.
