Programs and Activities
Education
The AMBCC host a series of Town Hall meetings that are designed to create a forum where members of the community are invited to discuss and hear about specific community issues. The AMBCC will host various consultations in minority communities with community leaders, institutions, and organizations on a variety of topics.
Public Safety
The AMBCC will host a series of community safety Forums over the course of one year to explore in depth a range of public safety issues, their impact on the Black community, public policy, and the potential for system change. The Forum Series will engage the community, law enforcement, public agencies, and others in dialogue about a range of community safety issues and will provide an opportunity to develop new learning, spark public debate, and influence current public safety practices and public policy.
Community Readiness and Development
The AMBCC conducts research and seeks input from community members who see the need to implement programs and services and establish businesses to improve conditions and lack of services (schools, business, public safety, recreation) in specific areas of the community
